Information we receive while performing services for clients (such as tax, accounting, or advisory work) is also governed by our engagement terms and by the professional and legal obligations described in
Section 9.
Our website is operated from the United States and is intended for users located in the United States. By using our website or submitting information to us, you acknowledge that you have read this Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use our website.
2. Information We Collect
Information You Provide to Us
- Contact details: your name, email address, and phone number, which you give us through our “Contact Us” form or our “Let us contact you” email form.
- Message content: anything you choose to include in a message, in a chat, or when you call, email, or otherwise communicate with us.
- Communication preferences: your consent to, or choice to opt out of, marketing emails and text messages.
- Business information: details such as your company name, industry, or business needs, if you share them with us.
Information Collected Automatically
- Device and browser data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, and language settings.
- Usage data: pages viewed, links clicked, time spent on pages, referring website, and the date and time of your visit.
- Cookie and similar technology data: identifiers described in Section 8.
Please do not send sensitive information through our website forms or chat. This includes Social Security numbers, bank or card account numbers, tax returns, or login credentials. If we need that information to serve you as a client, we will request it through a secure method.
3. How We Collect Information
- Directly from you when you complete a form, start a chat, call us, email us, or otherwise contact us.
- Automatically through cookies, pixels, server logs, and similar technologies when you visit our website.
- From service providers that help us operate our website, forms, communications, and analytics.
4. How We Use Information
We use personal information for the following purposes:
- To respond to your questions and requests, and to contact you as you asked us to.
- To evaluate whether our services are a fit for you, and to provide, administer, and improve our services.
- To send you marketing emails, and text messages where you have given the required consent (see Section 6 and Section 7).
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website, and to understand how visitors use it.
- To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, security incidents, and other harmful or unlawful activity.
- To comply with legal obligations, enforce our terms, and protect our rights, property, and safety and those of others.
Where the law requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on your consent, our legitimate business interests in running and promoting our business, performance of a contract or pre-contract steps you request, and compliance with legal obligations.
6. Email Marketing Practices
If you check the consent box on our contact form, or otherwise agree to receive marketing emails, we may send you information about our services, news, and offers. Our email practices follow the federal CAN-SPAM Act and other applicable laws:
- Providing your information through a form without checking the marketing consent box will not subscribe you to marketing emails. We may still reply to your inquiry.
- Every marketing email identifies Strombeck as the sender, includes our physical mailing address, and includes a clear way to unsubscribe.
- You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us using the details in Section 16. We will process opt-out requests within ten (10) business days.
- Even if you opt out of marketing, we may still send you non-promotional messages, such as replies to your requests and messages about services you have asked us to provide.
7. Text Messaging Practices
This section applies if you provide your mobile number and agree to receive text (SMS/MMS) messages from us.
- Consent. We send text messages only to people who have given us their prior express consent, and prior express written consent for marketing messages, as required by the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and similar laws. Consent to receive marketing texts is never a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
- Types of messages. Messages may include replies to your inquiries, appointment and follow-up communications, and, if you agreed to them, promotional messages about our services.
- Frequency. Message frequency varies based on your interactions with us.
- Costs. Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile plan. We do not charge for messages, but your carrier may.
- How to opt out. Reply STOP to any text message at any time to stop receiving messages. You may receive one final message confirming your request. You can also contact us using the details in Section 16.
- How to get help. Reply HELP to any text message, or contact us using the details in Section 16.
- Carriers. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Text messaging may not be available on all carriers or in all areas.
- Your mobile information. No mobile information or text-messaging opt-in data will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be shared with our service providers solely to deliver messages on our behalf.
If you change your mobile number, please let us know so we do not send messages to someone else.

We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, web beacons, local storage, and similar technologies to operate our website and understand how it is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you may delete or block them, but some parts of the website may not work properly as a result.

If anything in those documents is more protective of your information than this Policy, the more protective terms apply.
10. Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, including to meet legal, accounting, and reporting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods depend on the type of information and the purpose for which we hold it. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it, or, where that is not possible, securely store it and isolate it from further use until deletion is possible.
11. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, and alteration. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
